What is Dialectical Behavior Group Therapy (DBT)?
DBT skills training groups are designed to help clients learn the DBT skills in an educational, supportive setting. The skills training groups are recommended for all clients who need to learn the DBT skills of mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. It is a 24-week commitment. Group leaders are all intensively trained in DBT.
What is Intuitive Eating Group Therapy?
This weekly process and educational group is designed for individuals who wish to explore their relationship with food, dieting, and body image, and to create a healthy lifestyle. Learn the 12 principles of Intuitive Eating, a nutrition philosophy based on the premise that becoming more attuned to the body’s natural hunger signals is a more effective way to attain a healthy weight than keeping track of the amounts of energy and fat in foods. Learn how and why the “Diet Mindset” hurts your efforts for healthy eating and how to create a new, healthy mindset with food. Create your own program for healthy living based on your internal cues, wants, and needs.
What is Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) Group Therapy?
Not sure what RO-DBT is? RO-DBT is Radically Open DBT. RO is for clients who are over-controlled, rigid, and perfectionistic and want to connect more deeply in relationships and life. This over-control can manifest as perfectionism, OCD, anorexia, chronic depression, and anxiety.
RO-DBT skills training classes are designed to help clients learn the RO-DBT skills in an educational, supportive setting. It is a 30-week commitment. Class leaders are all intensively trained.
What is Body Image & Eating Disorders Group Therapy?
This is a weekly process and educational group designed for individuals who wish to develop compassion for and acceptance of their whole selves. You will dive deep into the journey of loving yourself. You will shift your focus from seeking others’ approval to accepting yourself. You will embrace radical self-acceptance and compassion. You will stop being your own biggest critic and learn to befriend yourself.
What is Yoga for Recovery Group Therapy?
Yoga for Recovery, led by Tara Arnold, Ph.D., LCSW, RYT, is a co-ed group for people in recovery who need a bottom-up approach to healing. Through new practices, we learn to embrace all of the wisdom at our disposal: our intellect, our gut, and our bodies. The group will integrate mindfulness, meditation, and yoga asana to enhance mind-body awareness and inner connection. The group is co-ed and meets on Mondays from 1:00-1:45. It is a 16-week commitment, and no yoga experience is necessary, but you will need a mat.
